The UK and US terminology for crocheters is slightly different. It is easy to convert so don’t be afraid to try out a pattern if it is not in your native terminology!
All you need to do is to -1! For example UK treble = US double.
UK ttr= US dtr
UK ExDc= US ExSc (extended double/single crochet)
slip st and chain are the same in both UK and US terms.

Tip:
If you are looking at a pattern and are unsure whether it uses UK or US terminology, look out for “sc”, if you see this, then it is written in US terminology.
