Hello and welcome to Melu Crochet.

I’m Mel, the designer behind all the patterns here. I create modern crochet designs with a focus on making the craft enjoyable, accessible, and relaxing for everyone, whether you are picking up a hook for the first time or you have been crocheting for years.

My mission is simple. I want crochet to feel fun and rewarding, without unnecessary complexity or confusion. I truly believe that making should be a calming, creative experience rather than something that feels overwhelming.

That is why I design patterns with clear structure, simple repeats, and thoughtful construction. I enjoy working with texture and rhythm in stitches to create projects that feel satisfying to make and beautiful to use.

Crochet, for me, is more than a hobby. It is a mindful and soothing process, and I design with that in mind. My patterns are written to be easy to follow, with minimal counting where possible, flowing instructions, and stitch counts placed at helpful points throughout.

For those who enjoy a little more challenge, my more advanced patterns include detailed written instructions alongside charts where helpful. Every design is thoroughly tested to ensure it is as clear and user-friendly as possible before release.

All patterns are created with real makers in mind and are refined through tester feedback to ensure clarity, accuracy, and enjoyment from start to finish.
