Lunch Date Scarf Pattern by Melu Crochet

The Lunch Date Scarf was designed for those irresistible skeins you picked up at a yarn show with a friend, the ones that were simply too beautiful to leave behind. This scarf is made to show them off perfectly, so when you meet up again for lunch, you can proudly wear your finished scarf while planning which yarn to buy next!

Designed for DK weight self-striping, gradient, or multi-coloured yarns, this pattern lets the colours shine while keeping the crochet fun and engaging. Bobbles and filet sections add texture and interest, while also helping you keep your stitch count on track as you go.

One of my favourite features of this scarf is the mini pom pom edging, which is crocheted as you go! There’s no need to make and attach separate pom poms, as they’re worked directly into the scarf, creating a lovely decorative border with every row. This also means they follow the natural colour changes of your yarn, giving you a beautifully coordinated edging without any extra effort. And because they’re part of the crochet itself, there’s no need to worry about them coming loose or falling off!

The result is a scarf that is enjoyable to make, wonderfully wearable, and guaranteed to turn heads, especially your yarn-loving friends
