Pattern Testing: Rainbow Bobble Heart Blanket

New year, new blanket! 2021 has finally arrived and I find myself in lockdown, working from home AND home schooling my kids!! As ever I have found stress relief and comfort in crochet, I hope you have too.

This blanket has been in the works for a while and lots of people have been asking about it so I have taken the opportunity to get it onto my facebook group and get it tested! Hopefully it will bring you a bit of bobbly fun and you can get it finished in time for a snuggly valentines gift for a loved one. If you would like to test it for me then click on the link below and join the group.

I have designed it for advanced beginners, it is a fairly simple pattern to follow and includes a bobble stitch chart (which many people find easier to follow) and written instructions.

This pattern has followed on from my Modern Bobble Rainbow Blanket as I have enjoyed changing colour for the bobble stitch as it makes the bobbles pop!

I chose my colour palette using my trusty yarn pegs, of which I have all of the stylecraft colours. This time I am using aran weight yarn to create a heavier, more chunky blanket.

Stylecraft yarn in rainbow colours- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and corresponding yarn pegs.
I give you the colour recipe and yarn amounts you will need using stylecraft special aran, but of course you can play with colour combos and create something unique.

I am offering the the chance for crocheters to test the Rainbow Bobble Heart Blanket pattern for me so that I can make sure the sizes and amount of yarn needed are accurate, and that the instructions are correctly written.

I will be running a Facebook group to communicate with testers and this will also be a place for the testers to add photos and share their experiences and work.

Would you be willing to provide photos of your process and a photo of the finished piece? I’d love to showcase your work and also show real people using my crochet rather than models.

I am happy for you to use any type of yarn, please keep a record of how much yarn you have used to make your blanket and the name, brand and colour. I love people getting creative with the patterns and choosing different colour schemes and fibres, it can change the look of the item dramatically!
