Melu Crochet: Baby Fox Bobble Blanket Pattern

My testers and I have had a great time on our facebook group, we have shared the making process and I have been able to check that the pattern is easy to understand, has enough detail for beginners and that the written pattern is correct!

The pattern is available in my etsy and LoveCrafts Shops and buy now on Ravelry!

A cute little Baby Fox blanket for your modern woodland nursery! Modern and quirky, this blanket will give colour and texture to your baby’s cot, pram or nursing chair. Make one for an original handmade baby shower gift!

For the blanket shown I used hobbycraft Womens Institute soft and smooth aran

Cheeks and tail -cream 140g
Body- mustard 480g
Background- light grey 120g
Outline- dark grey 50g

The amount of yarn used is approximate, you may use more or less yarn depending on your tension and chosen brand.

Size
The pattern will work with any yarn size, increase the hook size by 2 from the hook size that has been recommended for your yarn. Finished blanket size will depend on your type of yarn, size of hook and your tension.
I suggest using aran/worsted yarn, with a 7mm hook which will give a finished measurement of approx 80cm x 83cm (31½ in x 32 ½ in) with tension of 12st and 15 rows in Sc to 10cm/4in.

I have to say that the testers have been amazing! Giving me such useful feedback and sending me photos of each stage of the process- Thanks so much to all of them!

Now I am able to show their fabulous work, click on the links below the photos to go to the maker’s info:

It has been so much fun seeing the blankets at each stage of creation, from choosing yarn colours, to seeing the eyes peeping up and deciding on borders – even admiring the backs of some of the blankets as much as the fronts!

Finally, it was so lovely so see the baby fox blankets being used!
