Melu Crochet: Plainbow Blanket

This is my Plainbow Blanket, nicknamed so because it has no bobbles- definitely not my usual choice!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of picking out the colours (accidentally matching my cardigan!!) and focussing on the simplicity of this lovely blanket.

I have designed it to be easy to follow, so it is beginner friendly and I give you the colour recipe and amounts of yarn you will need.

Materials

5.5mm hook
410g aran yarn,
I used Hobbycraft WI soft and Smooth aran:
Colour A 23g Tweed Cream,
Colour B 52g Navy,
Colour C 54g Cornflower
Colour D 61g Teal,
Colour E 67g Mustard
Colour F 76g Tweed Pink
Colour A 77g Tweed Cream,
Yarn Needle
2 stitch markers

Size
100 x 86cm (39 x 34 inches)

Tension
10st and 7 rows in tr to 10cm/4in using 5.5mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. Pattern will work if tension is not exactly the same but size may vary.

You could substitute with any other yarn but amounts would need to be adjusted and if a different yarn weight is used such as dk, the finished size of the blanket would be smaller.
