This sweet little bobble blanket is ideal for adding modern texture colour and style to your nursery. I give you instructions with a colour recipe and photo tutorial to help you make the bobbles pop with a different colour than your working yarn.

5.5mm hook
Approx amounts of aran yarn:
Total: 500g
I used the following:
Main body colour (Light Grey): 345g,
Bobble colour 1 (Plum): 18g,
Bobble colour 2 (Cinnamon): 18g,
Bobble colour 3 (Mustard): 18g,
Bobble colour 4 (Light Teal): 50g,
Bobble colour 5 (Dark Teal): 25g,
Bobble colour 6 (Navy): 25g,
Scissors
Glue
Printed out alphabet and required template Yarn Needle

Size
The size of your blanket will be determined by how many letters you want to add to it.

In order for the name to appear equally spaced across the width of the blanket, there are two different templates- odd and even.
If using the template for Odd lettered name- place the middle letter on the grey space with the centre line. This template will give an approximate blanket width of 111cm.

If using the template for Even lettered name- place an equal number of letters either side of centre line. This template will give an approximate blanket width of 99cm.

If you have a name with fewer than 8 letters you can choose to make a smaller blanket or comforter using the 7, 6, 5 and 4 letter templates.

This would give you an approximate blanket width of:
51cm 4 letter template
63cm 5 letter template
75cm 6 letter template
87cm 7 letter template

For your reference, my blanket measures 75cm x 90cm (29 1⁄2 x 35 1⁄2 inches).
