My Smarties Bobble Blanket has been released!

I was taking a photo of this blanket when I had just started making it and my daughter was eating Smarties – she lined them up next to it and the Smarties blanket was born!

This sweet little bobble blanket is ideal for adding modern texture colour and style to your home. This is a simple pattern designed with beginners in mind. I give you instructions with a colour recipe and photo tutorial to help you make the bobbles pop with a different colour than your working yarn.

Materials
4mm hook
Approx amounts of dk yarn:
Main body colour: 175g,
Bobble colour: 3g for each bobble colour row,
Total: 230g
I used Stylecraft special dk
Main body colour and Border (grey): 175g Silver,
Bobble colour 1 (red): 12g Lipstick,
Bobble colour 2 (orange): 9g Spice,
Bobble colour 3 (yellow): 9g Dandelion,
Bobble colour 4 (green): 9g Pistachio,
Bobble colour 5 (blue): 9g Cornish Blue,
Bobble colour 6 (purple): 9g Magenta,
Tapestry Needle

Size
Finished blanket measures approx 75cm x 64cm (29½ in x 25in), ideal for a baby blanket or lap blanket.

I like the back nearly as much as the front!

I give instructions on to make the blanket larger if you wish.

Tension
14st and 12 rows in tr to 10cm/4in using 4mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. This is a guide for sizing and drape but pattern will work if tension is different.
