Chunky OmbRainbow Scarf by Melu Crochet

Here is my #Noshadesofgrey project, for a challenge by Hobbii

Last year I was so happy to join the @hobbii_yarn No shades of Grey challenge as a way to counteract that Blue Monday January feeling and decided to rename it while I was there to #RainbowMonday! 🌈😀🌈

I was extra excited therefore to be invited to join in again this year! So to brighten up early 2023 I have chosen these gorgeous rainbow colours of Tweed Delight:

❤️Pomegranate (12)
🧡Amber Glow (18)
💛Dijon (10)
💚Celadon (08)
💙Marina (06)
💜Wisteria Bloom (27)
💗Dusty Rose (15)

I have done this video to help explain how I double strand yarn from one ball if you would like to do it too?

For this one I really wanted to make a chunky scarf. I also wanted to further develop my friendship scarf idea that I made for a previous #hobbiifriends challenge, so I decided to #OmbRainbow it!!

Just like my Ombrainbow blanket I use two strands held together and I’ve made a colour recipe to ombré the rainbow through the scarf. I’m really excited about this one as the yarn is just beautiful and it feels amazing 🤩

my OmbRainbow blanket from my very first Hobbii challenge 🌈🌈🌈

Cute rainbow Stitch Marker from Hobbii:

Progress pic! My colours for this one are definitely rainbow inspired! I have merged them by changing colours a strand at a time- creating an ombré 🌈

Hard to get all the colours in one photo! 🌈💗🌈💗🌈
