This is a beginner-friendly pattern that looks intricate but is delightfully simple to make. I have included photo tutorials and a chart to get you started, but once you’ve got the hang of it you can settle into the gentle, repetitive flow without having to keep track or count stitches. Just pick up your hook and unwind!

The scarf grows quickly, with a colour-changing yarn that keeps things exciting as you crochet. The result? A gorgeously soft and squishy scarf, brimming with colour and texture, that’s as satisfying to make as it is to wear. I’ve also included a photo tutorial for adding tassels to finish it off beautifully.

So, whether you’ve had a busy day or just need a bit of “me time”, this scarf is a perfect way to enjoy some mindfulness. No colour changes to worry about, no endless counting or tricky stitches, just pure, soothing crochet.

Sue Dalton used a whole ball of Hobbi, Manaya (65% wool/36% acrylic) to make the scarf & only had to use part of the second ball for the tassels.

I found the pattern v easy to follow & have enjoyed making it.
– as someone new to crochet & following patterns I found the photographs very useful, they were clear & a good guide to setting up the pattern & a reference to check it looked right.
– the annotated written pattern was a useful introduction to seeing a pattern written this way
– once the pattern was established it was very easy to build the rows & was relaxing & mindful.

Emma Used a single colour cream tweed yarn

I am definitely a beginner and found the pattern easy to follow as as simple repeating pattern especially the photos showing where to insert the needle.
The tassels were hard though, had to get my husband to help out and use a bigger needle to pull through all of the loops as the 6 wouldn’t do the trick
Many thanks for adding me as a tester
